Biography
Catherine Verhelst (composer-pianist) and Hervé Tougeron (stage director/author) create multidisciplinary works, with musical and vocal creation at the center of their plural writings.
Since 2005, they have brought together singers, musicians, actors, and visual artists, for their musical theatre shows, chamber opera, and visual arts, radiophonic creations (France-Musique France-Culture) installations, and films:
Since 2005, the Skene Musical Ensemble has been composed of Akie Kakehi mezzo, Delphine Millour viola, Annelise Clement Clarinett, and Catherine Verhelst Piano ..
And since 2016, Japanese animation filmmaker Koji Yamamura.
A DVD-Book «3 Animated Pieces» bringing together the three works realized with Koji Yamamura was released in December 2021...
