Biography

Sebastian Di Bin is an internationally acclaimed Italian pianist and composer whose artistry combines extraordinary virtuosity, interpretive depth, and a distinguished global concert career. Born in 1981 in Udine, Italy, he began studying piano at the age of seven and made his orchestral debut at just eleven, marking the beginning of a remarkable artistic journey.

His program spans an exceptionally broad repertoire, ranging from masterworks of the classical canon by Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff to award-winning piano paraphrases inspired by icons such as Whitney Houston, Queen, and Michael Jackson.

Over the years, he has earned more than twenty-five major national and international prizes, including the prestigious Premio Venezia, First Prize at the San Jose International Piano Competition, and numerous top awards in Europe, the United States, and South Africa. In 2021, he received an extraordinary seventeen Platinum Medals as both composer and interpreter at leading competitions in Canada and the United States for his original reinterpretations of jazz and pop classics.

Sebastian Di Bin has performed in important venues and festivals across Europe, North America, and Africa, appearing in halls such as Teatro La Fenice, Auditorium Verdi, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Fazioli Concert Hall, and at events including the Salzburg Festival and the Chopin Marathon in Milan. He has collaborated with distinguished orchestras and conductors, recorded acclaimed albums for Centaur Records, and is also a published composer. Alongside his performing career, he is active as an educator and jury member for international competitions, further confirming his stature in today’s classical music world.
