Patrick Nebbula

After studying at the Nice Conservatory, Patrick Nebbula perfected his accompaniment with Alain Jacquon at the CRR in Paris. Her studies at the CNSM in Paris in the classes of Anne Grappotte and Serge Zapolski, as well as master classes with Walter Moore, Irene Aïtoff, Jean-Christophe Benoît and Paul von Schilhawsky allow her to discover the repertoire of melody and opera that are for him a real revelation.

His career choice is found: it will be the world of voice! Winner of the International Opera Competition of Rennes 1992, as leader of songs on Pelléas and Mélisande of Debussy, he began as assistant of Valentin Kojin on the Italian in Algiers at the Festival of Saint-Céré. He then became choirmaster at the Angers Opera, singing at the Opéra National de Lyon, then at the Opéra de Nantes and the Opéra de Rennes. He also participates in productions at the Paris Opera, the Dijon Opera, as well as in various festivals. At the same time, he is assistant conductor on many productions. He prepares for the Opéra de Lyon stage music for the world premiere of Schliemann, Betsy Jolas, and works with Marcel Landowski on the creation of Galina.

He directs the Pays de la Loire National Orchestra in Nantes as assistant conductor and inaugurates the Palais des Congrès of Les Sables d'Olonne at the head of the Vendée Orchestra. His many talents allow him to be engaged as a conductor, or choirmaster, in repertoires ranging from 18th century music to today's music. He has worked with conductors such as S. Bedford, J. As a pianist, he collaborates with a large number of prestigious artists such as Véronique Gens, Barbara Hendricks, Elizabeth Vidal, and also with the new generation like Albane Carrere, Lea Desandre, Julie Fuchs, Ambroisine Bre, Sebastien Gueze, or Raquel Camarinha. But also with the instrumentalists David Walter, Paul Meyer, Henri Demarquette, Anne Gastinel, Olivier Charlier, Renaud Capuçon, Joel Vaïsse, Florent Héau, Liza Kerob. Specialist also of the repertoire of the flute, he collaborated with Silvia Careddu, Juliette Hurel, Emmanuel Pahud, Maxence Larrieu, Julien Beaudiment, Vincent Lucas and Loïc Schneider. He has played with the Orchester National de Lyon, the Pays de la Loire National Orchestra, the Orchester de Bretagne and the Vendée Orchestra and has performed in England, Germany, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.

In 2010 he was invited by the Dijon Opera to be the choir director of Prokofiev's Love of the Three Oranges (French Critics Award for the Best Lyrical Show of the Year 2010), and Orpheus in the Underworld. Offenbach, as well as the Royal Opera of Versailles. In 2009, Patrick Nebbula founded his own orchestral ensemble where he invited prestigious soloists R. Muraro, G. Apap, J. Fuchs, etc. to perform in rural areas to bring classical music to all audiences. He notably directs F. Lopez's La belle de Cadix, C. Terrasse's Hercules Works, G. Fauré's Requiem, G. Bizet's Pearl Fishers, Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring, G's Little Solemn Mass. Rossini, the fourth symphony by G. Mahler (orch version of chamber), the Magnificats of Bach and Rutter (with the choruses of Angers Nantes Opera), Missa Criolla and Navidad Nuestra of A. Ramirez, La Belle Hélène, Parisian Life and Offenbach's Périchole, Léhar's Merry Widow, Puccini's Missa de Gloria, F. Lopez's The Singer of Mexico. In Cannes, he directed J. Offenbach's Orphée aux Enfers and in June 2013 Mozart's Flûte Enchantée for the 10th anniversary of the Made in Cannes Festival at Théâtre Croisette.

In 2015, he directs the world premiere of the He intervenes with the Center of Lyric Art of the Mediterranean of Elizabeth Vidal and André Cognet. Composer, his catalog now has about forty instrumental and vocal works and his teaching pieces for various instruments are regularly offered on the examination lists of the FFEM and the CMF. Patrick Nebbula was the first artistic consultant founder of the Concertinos de Pornic and is since 2017 artistic director of the lyrical season Musical Guest of Cannes.
