Artjom Roditsenko

Biography

Artjom Roditšenko is a clarinetist from Estonia. He studied at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music College and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. While studying at college, he received first place at a wind instrument competition in Estonia. The main concert activity is connected with the performance of chamber music. Most often he performs in an ensemble with his wife, pianist Darja Roditšenko, with her he also participated in international competitions and won prizes. In 2018, he won the first prize in the hamber ensemble category and the second prize in the solo clarinet category at the Sanremo Music International Competition. Following the results of the competition, the Order "For Special Merits in the field of education, culture and art" from the International Academy of Science, Culture and Art was awarded. In 2019, he received the first prize in the duo category at the 10th International Music Competition, Belgrade, Serbia. In the same year, he became a finalist in the chamber ensemble category of the Leopold Bellan International Competition, Paris.
In 2021 Orpheus Classical published a digital album “Clarinet Music”, where arrangements of vocal and instrumental music by J.S.Bach and clarinet sonatas Op. 120 by J. Brahms are performed by Artjom and Darja Roditšenko. Israeli composer Itay Cohen dedicated his work "Creature with Potential" to Artjom and Darja Roditšenko in 2020. In 2023 Darja and Artjom took a third prize at the prestige Leopold
Bellan International Competition in Paris, France in the chamber music category. Artjom Roditšenko is also engaged in teaching activities and his students take first places in international competitions such as 21th Century Talents (Canada) and 13th World Open Music Competition (Serbia).
