Antonella Malis (Split) Croatian soprano comes from a musical family. She started her music education from the age of four at the Josip Hatze Music School kindergarten and it continued over the many years as a soloist for the Srdelice children’s choir.
She graduated in music culture at the Art Academy, University of Split, and at the International Music Academy in Rome (AIDM) obtained her masters in bel canto singing under the mentorship of Teresa Rocchino. After winning the first prize interpreting Neapolitan song I te vurria vasa at the International Competition „Pacem in Terris“ organized by Italy's RAI TV in 1999, she performed in front of Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI), she had her debut in the title role of the Croatian operetta „Mala Floramye“ by Ivo Tijardović in 2001.
As part of the European tour, she performed with Moscow State Symphony Orchestra as „Tatiana“ in „Eugene Onegin“ - opera by P.I. Tchaikovsky at the most prestigious concert halls in Budapest (New Philharmonic Hall/Palace of the arts), Gyor (Philharmonic Concert Hall), Villach (Congress Center), Linz (Brucknerhaus Concert Hall), Salzburg (Great Festival Hall), Moscow (Tchaikowsky Concert Hall), Dubna and Sochi (Russian State Theatre), Zagreb (Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski). In the year 2006 in Dubna and Sochi, she was the first foreign artist to perform there since the breakup of the Soviet Union.
She accomplished notable acting roles in the drama play P.Shaffer "Amadeus" as Catherina Cavalieri and in musical "Nunsense" as Sister Mary Amnezia. The "Nunsense" musical is based on the hit film "Sister Act".
In collaboration with guitarist prof. Goran Listeš she promotes to the Croatian and international audience their joint CD CANZONE NAPOLETANA, Sounds of Romantic Naples, published by Scardona. In the past few years, she has focused on concert performances, having performed with a large number of artists and ensembles in Croatia and abroad (Europe, Canada, Russia) Accompanied by the Original Wiener Strauss Capelle Orchestra, she performed as a special guest of the city of Opatija on the Vienna Opera Ball in 2013 and 2015.
She participated at numerous festivals of popular music and popular TV shows, and her interpretations can be found on DVDs and CDs, as well as on radio stations. From the year 2014, she is the initiator of the summer concert programs at the Roman quarry Cave Romane in Vinkuran, a future new cultural and tourist center in the municipality of Medulin.
