Trio Guersan

Instrumentalists / String

Biography

“Chance encounters” — from a café at a convent to concert tours in Malta and evenings spent sharing ideas over music — mark the origin of Trio Guersan, a French ensemble formed in 2016 through friendship and a shared passion for early music.

Specializing in historically informed performance, the trio brings attention to the rich yet often neglected repertoire of the classical and early romantic string trio, performed on period instruments with a deep understanding of the music’s original context.

Their name honors 18th-century violin maker Louis Guersan, reflecting their dedication to craftsmanship, authenticity, and elegance in interpretation.
