Eros Roselli
Biography
Eros Roselli was born in Senigallia (Italy). He started to study the classical guitar at the age of ten. He graduated with top marks at the Brescia Conservatory under the guidance of Ruggero Chiesa following which he has taken part in Masterclasses with Manuel Barrueco, Angelo Gilardino, Eliot Fisk and David Russell.
After winning various prizes in competitions for young guitarists, he came to the forefront thanks to the prizes and awards he won at numerous International competitions, including the "F. Sor" International Competition in Rome, the International Festival of 20th Century Music of Lagonegro, the International Award "Sua Altezza Real la Infanta Doña Cristina" (Fundaciòn Guerrero) in Madrid and the Barcelona Concurso Internacional "Maria Canals".
Since 1985 he has performed in concert in Italy and abroad (Spain, Austria, Croatia, Russia, Denmark, Great Britain, Slovakia, Switzerland…) both as a soloist and in chamber groups for important associations and festivals. His performances have been broadcast for the Italian State Broadcasting Authority RAI, BBC, Radio Nacional Española, Classic New York (WNYC) and Australia’s National Classical Music Network.
His concerts are often accompanied by a brief introduction, providing insight into the historical and musical background in which the music was written.
