Angelo Martino

Ângelo Martino was born in Conversano (BA-ITALY) on 02-02-1968.
He started to study piano at the age of ten after that he  Demonstred a great predisposition to the music from  very little age.
He started to play as solist with orchestra at the age of 19, when he played the Concerto nº1 op.23 of Ciaikowsky, with the orchestra of Conservatoire “Piccinni” in Monopoli.
Parallely at the Classic High School and the Faculty of Foreign Language and Literatures of the University of Bari, he attended  first the Conservatoire of music “N.Piccinni” of Monopoli and then the Conservatoire of music in the city of Bari, where he finisched  the course of the studies of piano with the maximum of the marks (10/10), in the year 1990.
In 1994 after three years of perfectioning he gained the “Diplom of Virtuosity” at the International Accademy of High Perfectionamentin the city of Perugia.
He was perfectioned at the University of Bari in:
General Didactic
Didactic of colours
Intercultural Pedagogy
Use of computer in pedagogy
He was invited in the same University to speak in 5 conferences on the  “Symbolic codes in the children until the age of six” 
In 2002 he attended at the Conservatoire of Bari the Superior Course of Musical Analysis.

His repertoire is very great and he is the first italian player of the Transcendental studies of Liszt in the first version; He completed the integral pianistic of Schumann, Liszt e Chopin. He was Piano teacher in many Conservatoires of music in Italy and in Portugal and he is specialized as accompanist of singers and dancers for National Accademy of Dancing in Roma (where he worked as composer and improviser too).

IN June of 2009 he recorded for the National Portuguese Radio “Antena 2” and for the RTP (the National Television of Portugal) In  a public concert.

In 2010 he was invited to play in Madrid in a solo piano-concert that was Recorded for the national Spanish radio “Radio Clasica”.

He played in a lot of concerts in Portugal where he presented The “32 Sonatas of Beethoven” and all the Sonatas of Mozart.

In 2013 he was the one italian pianist  invited in the city Arezzo (Toscana-Italy) from the organizers of the courses of Perfectionament of the Pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli To  play in a concert in his memory.

In 2022 he presented at the House Museum of Franz Liszt in Budapest.

The First Version of the Trascendental Studies of Liszt and it was a great succes ( the critics said “One of the few musicians that really understood The personality of LISZT).

He gave Masterclasses of Piano in several European Universities in Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Portugal  and nextly in Turkey.

He actually teaches Principal Piano in the Conservatorie/University of Avellino In Italy.
